Dorothy E. Eighmey, 68, born in Laurel on December 24, 1939, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Thursday, August 21, 2008 in Gulfport.
Mrs. Eighmey was a member of Handsboro United Methodist Church and was formerly involved with the Order of the Eastern Star. She worked for Red Cross for many years.
Mrs. Eighmey will be greatly missed by numerous family and friends. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband Lewis K. Eighmey, her parents, Earl and Vila Freeman, sister, Evelyn Earl Besse, and great-grandson, Garrion Gordon.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Cindy Carter; 2 granddaughters, Shannon Wedgeworth and Leslie Kotsakos; five great-grandchildren; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to visit from 1-2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 24, 2008, at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME in Biloxi. The Celebration of Life service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Gulfport.
