Dorothy Cuevas

August 29, 1934 — April 8, 2020

Dorothy Ann Cuevas, born August 29, 1934, age 85, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 8, 2020.

Dorothy was a life long resident of Pass Christian, MS. She was of the Christian faith and a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

She enjoyed spending time on her front porch watching the hummingbirds and the blue birds. Dorothy was a selfless, kind hearted, and loving woman. Her family was the most important thing to her and always came first. The love that her family has for her will never be broken and her legacy will live on through each of them. We will forever cherish the memories that we have of her. To know her was to love her.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bernard Cuevas; her parents, Curvis and Aline Ladner; 3 sisters Sandra Caccioppo, Elaine Moran, Faye Hutchinson, and 2 brothers Larry Ladner, and Jimmy Ladner.

She is survived by her children, Brenda Cuevas (AJ), David Cuevas, Tommy Cuevas (Patti) siblings, Barbara Williams, Harris Ladner, and Elton Ladner; 5 grandchildren, Scotty Cuevas, Bridget Cuevas (Casey), Amanda Borja (Isreal), Robbie Hunter (Brittany), and Colby Cuevas; 3 great grandchildren, Makinley Perkins, Jaxon Borja, Anniston Hunter, and numerous friends and family.

Dorothy's son, David Cuevas, is a man of special needs who inspired his mom (Dorothy) to be a special kind of person.

The family wants to give a huge thank you to the nurses on the 5th floor at Memorial Hospital Gulfport for going above and beyond to love and take care of our mom when we couldn't be with her. They truly are angels.

When someone you love becomes a memory, that memory becomes a treasure.
