Dorothy Dell Bruce

Dorothy Dell Bruce, age 86, died March 11, 2011.
She was born in Inverness, MS February 8, 1925. She attended school in Greenville, MS where she began her career as a Medical Records Librarian. She moved to Biloxi, MS in 1958 where she worked for several medical facilities along the Gulf Coast. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and D.A.R. Dorothy enjoyed dancing and was a member of the Magnolia Swingers, Belles and Buoys, and the Tic-Toc Rounds. She also volunteered at the Gulf Coast Community Hospital and was a member of the Sunshine Guild and RSVP. She generously gave her time to help and comfort others.
Dorothy will be deeply missed by her sister, nieces, nephew, and many friends. Along with her kindness, her contagious smile and wonderful sense of humor will be remembered.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wesley Newton Bruce and Selena Emma Rogers; three brothers, Clell Bruce, Jack Bruce, and Tillman Bruce; and two sisters, Lucille Gardner and Myrtis Campbell.
She is survived by two sisters, Ruth Waits of Lake Charles, LA and Sara Dobbs of Biloxi.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, Biloxi, is in charge of arrangements.
