Dorothea Jean Bauer

Dorothea Jean Bauer, age 83, of Diamondhead, passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2025.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Elmore F. Bauer, Jr., and her son, David W. Bauer.

Dorothea is survived by her sons, Steve Bauer (Tammy) and Brian Bauer (Susan Mickey); her brother, Bill Capella (Rose); and her grandchildren, David, Kellie, Noah, Savannah, Jacob, Mandi, Miranda, and Ramsey; great- grandchildren, Alannah Bauer and 15 additional great-grandchildren. 

Dorothea was a Navy wife and worked as an accounting clerk for Sears. She had retired.  She was a member of The Lutheran Church of the Pines and also the hunter/retriever club and an AKC/UKC puppy trainer.

The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 AM on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at the Lutheran Church of the Pines, Waveland. 

The funeral service will begin at 11:00 am in the church. Interment will be at Biloxi National Cemetery at a later date.
