Doris Maxine Holmes Stiver, age 89, of Gulfport, passed away on February 8, 2015.
She was preceded in death by her husband Farrell Stiver, Sr., 2 daughters, Patricia Eagan and Vicki Lynn Stiver, 2 sons, Patrick Stiver and an unnamed son, and several brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her children, Farrell (Jackie) Stiver, Jr., Gregory Stiver, Robert S. (Mary) Stiver, Joseph P. (Julie) Stiver, Mardi (Samuel) O'Neal, and Edgar Stiver, her siblings, Fred Holmes, Nebon Rushing, and Ethel Raye Brown, 9 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
She served in the U.S. Army during WWII working in the artillery division. She enjoyed playing Bingo, going to casinos, and taking care of children. She was a member of the VFW Post 4582.
Visitation will be from 1 - 2 pm on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd., Gulfport. Interment will be in Free Church of God Cemetery.
