Gulfport

Elaine M. Smith was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, February 5, 2021.

Elaine had been a resident of Gulfport since 1994.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy W. Smith, Sr; daughter, Sheleen Golden; parents, Bill and Annell Murff; sister, Betty Clark; and brother, W.L. “Buddy” Murff.

She is survived by her children, Cheryl Farmer (Dale) of Gulfport, Cindy Rayburn (Tim) of Gulfport, Billy W. Smith, Jr. (Ginger) of Decatur, Tx and Shana Willis (Johnny) of Saucier; her grandchildren, Timothy Rayburn, Jeffrey Rayburn, Courtney Smith, Brandon Smith, Patrick Smith (Angela), Amanda Twoey, Jamie Harris (Donnell), and Christopher Southern (Katelyn); her great-grandchildren: Trey Willis, Addyson Willis, Allie Rayburn, Kaleb Rayburn, Olivia Wheeler, Charlotte Smith, Trinedy Harris, Bella Jackson, Steeler Jackson, Marlea Jackson, Mila Jackson, Brentley Mizell, Annsleigh Southern, and Karsyn Southern.

The funeral service will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at New Hope Baptist Church, 17430 Landon Rd. Gulfport, MS with visitation from 10 – 11 am. A graveside service will be in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers please make donations to the New Hope Baptist Youth Fund or your favorite charity.
