Doris R. McQueen departed life on Thursday July 15, 2011 to join her Lord and Savior.
She was preceded in death by her father Thomas ""Tom"" Gill, mother Zemily Patton Gill Shaw, and step-father Arthur J. Shaw.
She leaves behind a loving family: daughters Sarah Lizana (Billy), Brenda Breeland and son Ricky McQueen (Leisa) of Folsom, Louisiana and her beloved grand children: Gregory Lizana, Jeffery Goins, Candace Bryant (Keith), Steven Lizana (Lisa), Todd Breeland, Katie McQueen; great-grandchildren: Whitney Daughtery (Jeremy), Thomas Bryant, Katlin Bryant, Katelynn Cook, Morgan Day, Tyler, Olivia, and Joseph Breeland, Carter, Peyton and Spencer Lizana, Livey Evans; one sister BobbieJean and her husband Reverend Jack E. Lyons and their sons Tom and Mike Lyons (Ellen) of Edmond, Oklahoma; two brothers Reverend Clinton Gill (Phyllis) of Hattiesburg and their children Reverend Robert Gill (Currie), Angie Powell (Brent), Amy Lophorp (Mike) and youngest brother Fred Gill (Gayle) of Lucedale and their son Stan Gill (Suzanne) and a large extended family.
Doris was ""Mama Doris"" to her children and their friends and delighted in holding family gatherings at the home she shared with her daughter Brenda.. She was a member of Saucier United Methodist Church for many years and moved her membership to Ramsey Memorial United Methodist Church after moving to Orange Grove.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Ramsey Memorial United Methodist Church.
