Doris Jean McCummins, age 78, passed away on Sunday, August 5, 2018 in Bay Saint Louis, MS.
She was a long time resident of Pass Christian and a native of New Castle, PA.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. McCummins, Sr; parents, Robert and Margaret Willey; and brother, Robert P. Willey, Jr.
She is survived by her daughter, Jeanne Lizana (Matt); son, Robert J. McCummins, Jr. (Christine); five grandchildren, Kristin Mate (Jeremy), Matthew Lizana, Katie Beatty (Brandon), Shannon McCummins, and Brenna McCummins; four great-grandchildren, Colstin and Kelbie Mate, and Kristopher and Saydi Lizana; sister, Margie Willey; and her sister-in-law, Mary McCummins.
Mrs. McCummins loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and enjoyed sports. She has been a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dedeaux since 2006. She owned Magnolia Cleaning and worked for Wee Ones Day Care.
The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the nurses and staff at Dunbar Village Nursing Home and Notre Dame Hospice.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at 11 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Pass Christian. Visitation will be held one hour prior to Mass. Interment will be held at Biloxi National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations to Dunbar Village Nursing Home, Bay St. Louis, toward entertainment for the Courtyard.
