Doris Y. Givens, age 56, a resident of Gulfport, passed away January 1, 2008 in Biloxi.
Mrs. Givens was the Block Captain of her neighborhood watch. She was an avid tennis player, photographer, and award winning artist. She loved her grandchildren and taught them art. At age 17, she was presented with a key to the City of New Orleans. She loved her rose garden.
She is preceded in death by her father, Joseph L. Wood. Survivors include her mother, Daisy A. Wood of Jackson, MS; her children, Chrystal Wamstad and her husband, Rosario, of Diamondhead and Natasha Radugge and her husband, Richard, of Poplarville; her sister Elizabeth Lennington and her husband, William, of Jackson, MS, two brothers, Joe Wood and his wife, Tammy, and Jack Wood and his wife, Terri, both of Jackson, MS; four grandchildren, Jazmine Wamstad, Tasha Wamstad, Aimee Radugge, and Amber Radugge; and one great-grandson, Nathan Boswell.
The funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 6, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd., Gulfport, where friends may call from noon until service time. Burial will be at a later date.
