Doris Blackwell

Doris Jensen Blackwell, age 95, passed away June 30, 2018 in Gulfport, MS where she was a lifelong resident since 1923.
Doris retired from Salloums' Toggery where she worked as a secretary.  She was previously employed by Armour & Co. as a secretary.
She was a member of Handsboro Baptist Church, where she worked in the Children's Department for many years.  Doris was an avid flower and tree gardener, enjoyed reading, and her pets.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 57 years, Norris; her parents, Adolph and Leona Jensen; an infant brother, Hubert; and a young sister, Betty.
She is survived by her son, Michael (Joan) Blackwell, and numerous cousins.
Memorials may be made to Baptist Children's Village, PO Box 27, Clinton, MS 39060, or the local Humane Society.
The Funeral will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, July 6, 2018 at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, MS, with a visitation for family and friends from 9:30 AM until the service.  Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Gulfport.
