Donnie Skinner

  Donnie Skinner, 66 of Saucier, MS passed away on June 5, 2023.  He was born on June 1, 1957 in Elba, Alabama to the late James “J.J.” & Agatha “Gather” Skinner. 

  Donnie attended Elba High School.  He joined the United States Army and served during the Vietnam War.  Donnie worked as a Construction Supply Salesman for over 30 years, he was noted by many to be the “Best Screw” in town. Donnie enjoyed spending time in the outdoors, going swimming, fishing, or being at the beach.  He was an avid Saints and Alabama Football fan.  Most of all he was a loving and devoted husband, father, pawpaw and a friend to so many.  He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.  “Once a Cardinal, Always a Cardinal”!

  Donnie was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Leroy Skinner; father-in-law, Bobby C. Clark; brother-in-laws, Bob Bill, and Milton Johnson.

  Donnie is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Carolyn Skinner; children, Justin (Tiffany) Skinner, Ashleigh (John) Wheeler, and Kaileigh Skinner (Dalton Barber); grandchildren, Gavin, Jayden, Kennedy, Mason, Harper, Avery, Presley, and Karson; siblings, Joyce Bill, Sara Nell Johnson, Barbara Rugg, Jimmy Skinner, Judy (Terry) Oglesby, Tommy (Brenda) Skinner, Debbie (Dewayne) Rhoades; mother-in-law, Kathi (Denny) Burton; sister-in-law, Cheryl Gibson; brother-in-law, Brian Clark; and nephew, Wade Gibson.  Donnie also leaves behind to cherish his memory a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and extended family.

  Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2023, from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at the Riemann Family Funeral Home Gulfport Chapel (11280 Three Rivers Rd, Gulfport, MS).  His Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at the Riemann Family Funeral Home Chapel.  Graveside Services with Military Honors will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Gulfport, MS.

  In Lieu of Flowers, memorial contributions can be made in his name to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
