Our sister in faith, Donna Lynn Entrekin Smith, 63, of Biloxi, went to be with our Lord, her Father, on a beautiful sunny day on March 28th while surrounded by her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Arnold W. ""Chook"" Entrekin and Eugenie ""Jeannie"" Ladnier Entrekin and the father of her children, Clifford Lamar Smith.
She is survived by her children, Raquel ""Rocky"" Long Greathouse, Chook Smith, and Douglas (Tiffany) Smith; her grandchildren ""J.J."" Saucier, Zachary Saucier, Blake Long, Joshua Greathouse, Matthew Greathouse, Avery ""Chook"" Smith, Paityn Smith, Trevor Smith, Jacob Smith, Dominick Smith, and Mason Fergonise; sisters Caroline (Mike) Stanley, Charlene (Danny) McMillin, and Susan (Terry) Giddens; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and friends, all of Biloxi.
Donna was a lifelong resident of Biloxi, MS. She belonged to Nativity BVM Cathedral where her lay ministries included, Eucharistic minister, Graduate of the New Wine Program of the Biloxi Diocese, and was a member of various bible study groups. She participated in the RCI (Rite Christian Initiative) for adults, where she was a sponsor and volunteer.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at Nativity Blessed Virgin Mary Cathedral in Biloxi. Friends and family are invited to visit at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the service at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to either Cannon Hospice in Gulfport, or Nativity BVM Cathedral of Biloxi.
