Donald Yarbrough

Donald E. Yarbrough, age 87 of Gulfport, passed away on Saturday, September 18, 2021.

He was a native of Athens, Tennessee.  He attended Pass Christian High School.  Donald served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.  He later transferred to the Air National Guard and retired from the military after 22 years of service.  After his service in the military, he went to work for Shell Oil and retired from there after 21 years.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth and Wendall Yarbrough; his brothers, Bob, Tippy, Dick; and his sister, Katy Powell.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Betty Lacy Yarbrough; his children, Donna Busby (Willard), Bo Yarbrough (Melissa), Doris Mitchell (Chad), and Jay Yarbrough (Crystal); his grandchildren, Nathan Busby (Cara), Derrick Busby (Emily), D.J. Yarbrough, Jacob Mitchell (Carlyn), Jenifer Sierra (Tony), Michael Yarbrough, and Mason Yarbrough; numerous great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Donald enjoyed watching Saints Football and playing cards.  He was a member of the Masonic Lodge.

A visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM, Thursday, September 23, 2021, Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport.  The graveside service will follow at 11:00 AM, at Biloxi National Cemetery.
