Donald J. Watts, 62, of Gulfport, was called home on January 7, 2009.
Mr. Watts was known as """"Donny"""" to all his family and friends. He was a lifetime member of O'Neal Road Baptist Church and a Mason of the Orange Grove Masonic Lodge #635. He served in the Army National Guard for 34 years and retired as a Master Sergeant E-8. Donny was currently employeed with the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency.
Donny's life was filled with many achievements and he was always there to lend a hand to anyone in need. Other than his family, his second love was hunting and fishing with family and friends.
Donny is survived by his wife of 42 years, Sandra Watts; His daughter Tangie R. Viars and husband Kelly; his son Donald Jay Watts and wife Michelle; six grandchildren, Bryan Viars, Blake Viars, Lil' Jay """"Frog"""" Watts, Jaecie """"Annie"""" Watts, Kassie Watts, and Kaylie Watts and one great-granddaughter, Brylee Viars. He is also survived by his brothers Ronald Watts and Bobby Watts, both of McHenry.
He was perceded in death by his brother William """"Bill"""" Watts; father William O. Watts, and mother Matilda Watts.
Daddy, we will miss you and you will not be forgotten. We Love You. Tangie """"Sis"""" and Jay.
A visitation will be held Saturday, January 9, 2010 from 6 to 9 p.m. at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd, Gulfport. The funeral service will be held the following day in the funeral home chapel at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Gulfport.
