Donald "Don" Powell

Donald ""Don"" Powell, age 72 died on February 5, 2015, in Gulfport after a long illness.
Don was born in Columbus, OH and lived in the Westerville, OH area until he and his wife of 44 years, Bev, moved to the Mississippi Gulf Coast in 2001. He was an active member of the Joppa Shrine Temple in Biloxi, where he was Potentate in 2008, Past President of Dixie Shrine Association in Panama City Beach, FL and associate member of Aladdin Shrine Temple in Columbus, OH.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie and Myrtle Powell; his brothers, Bill, Lonnie Jr., Ron, Chip, and Buddy and his sister, Donna.
Don is survived by his wife, Bev; his son, Don Powell of Sacramento, CA and his sister, Linda Allen of Ohio.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Joppa Shrine Temple, 13280 Shriner's Blvd., Biloxi, MS 39532.
Arrangements for cremation services were handled by Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road in Gulfport. No services are planned at this time.
