Donald Lee Parker, age 68 and a resident of Long Beach, passed away peacefully on February 4, 2016, at home in Long Beach, with his loving family by his side.
Mr. Parker had been a resident of Long Beach for the past 16 years and was co-founder of Kappa Development and General Contracting. He was a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi where he was an active Interfraternity Council Member and he was a member of the Beta Epsilon Chapter of Phi Kappa Tau Fraternity.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bueford Eugene Parker; his stepmother, Eva Leta ""PeeWee"" Parker; his brother, Richard Barker; his son-in-law, Kenny Eastep; and his BELOVED pet, Kahlua.
Mr. Parker is survived by his mother, Ruby Kirk Barker; his loving wife of 47 years, Katherine Clark Parker; his children, Tamara Eastep, Dawn (Ed) Lockhart, and Shawn (Eli) Collier; his siblings, Donald Franklin (Kim) Parker, Monica (Ronald) Russell, and Robert (Carol) Barker; his grandchildren, Joshua Dugger, Brandon Eastep, Bobby Clark Pruitt, Madison DeBerry, Breyer Lockhart, Savannah Collier, and his great granddaughter, Aeris Dugger.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 10, 2016, at 10am at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 19130 Commission Road in Long Beach, where friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Finley Cemetery in Gulfport.
