Donald Ray Leslie, age 50, of Gulfport, passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2008 in Gulfport.
Mr. Leslie loved watching wrestling and was a NASCAR fan who loved Dale Jarrett. He loved C.B. Radios and his handle was """"Donald Duck"""". He also enjoyed four wheeler riding, getting muddy, and camping. Mr. Leslie was a former employee of Holden Construction and Harrison County Sand Beach Department. He was a former officer with the Gulfport Police Reserves from 1975 to 1982 and with the Harrison County Sheriffs Department from 1982 to 1993. He was co-owner of D & J Truck and Tractor Service.
Mr. Leslie was preceded in death by his grandparents, Sewell and Inez Carver; his grandfather, Hubert Leslie; his sister-in-law, Phyllis Leslie; and grandfather Leroy Gibbons.
He is survived by his wife, Regina Willis Leslie of Gulfport; his parents, Beverly Leslie of Long Beach and Roy and Diane Leslie of Gulfport; his children, Renee Leslie, LeeAnn Leslie, Jenny Smith, and Larry White all of Gulfport; his brothers, Ronald, Paul, and Mark Leslie all of Long Beach; his sister, Karen Havard of Long Beach; two grandchildren, Austin and Wesley Smith of Gulfport; his grandmother, Chris Gibbons of Gulfport; and his precious white German Shepherd, Sasha.
The family prefers memorial contributions be made to St. Thomas Catholic Church Building Fund.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., Friday, February 8, 2008 at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11213 Hwy 49 N., Gulfport. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, February 9, 2008 in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Gulf Pines Cemetery in Long Beach.
