Donald Holman

Donald "Don" Lee Holman, 79, of Gulfport, MS passed away July 9, 2022, surrounded by his family.

Don was born April 26, 1943, to the late Donald Albert and Rachel Nadine Holman in Sikeston, Missouri. He was raised in Dallas, Texas. He graduated High School in 1961. He was a proud Vietnam Veteran and received a purple heart during his service. He was married to his wife Eleane for 53 years. Don worked at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College in Perkinston, MS as an instructor of auto mechanics until he retired. He was a member of Bel-Aire Baptist Church of Gulfport, MS.

Don loved to hunt and fish. He enjoyed old cars, singing, and playing the guitar, and watching old westerns. Don was a true American and loved his country. One of the last things he told someone was his blood was "red, white, and blue".

Don was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters Joyce Marie Holman and Rachel Sue Baldwin, daughter Dina Gebhart, and grand-daughter Sandra Kay.

Don is survived by his wife Eleane, his sons Ronald (Kellie) Holman and Lonny Holman; daughters Sharon (Joey) Jay and Sindi Holman; sister Mary (Travis) Hicks and brother Charles Holman; grandchildren Lee, Donald, Tandy, Kerry, Megan, Brendy, Patric, Maryanna, Cliffton, and Macey; great-grandchildren Destiny, William, Scarlett, and Axton.

A visitation will be 10--11am, Monday, July 18, 2022, at Riemann Family Funeral Home, Gulfport. A funeral service will follow at 11am. Interment is at the Biloxi National Cemetery.
