Donald S. Hathaway, Sr., age 78 and a recent resident of Ilion, NY, died on Wednesday, November 26, 2008, in Ilion.
Mr. Hathaway served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War and had been a resident of Long Beach since 1964.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank & Nellie Burke Hathaway and a sister, Lillian Hathaway.
He is survived by his wife, Chris Hathaway of Long Beach; his son, Donnie (Jeanne) Hathaway of Oldsmar, FL; his sister, Carol Sweeny of Clinton, NY and his grandsons, Donnie Hathaway, III of Gainesville, FL and Stephen Hathaway of Oldsmar, FL.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, December 8, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. at Gulf Pines Cemetery in Long Beach.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 417 Security Square, Gulfport, MS 39507.
