Donald R. Green, age 67 and a resident of Long Beach, died on Wednesday, May 9, 2007 in Gulfport.
Mr. Green was born on December 16, 1939 in Dublin, Georgia and was raised there. He was the son of Willie J. and Nancy Hall Green and was a 1957 graduate of Dudley High School. Don enjoyed the Atlanta Braves, the Georgia Bulldogs and Nascar.
Mr. Green is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife, Myrna Robinson Green of Long Beach; his son, Reggie Green and his wife Diane of McDonough, GA; his grandchildren, Lauren Green and Lindsey Green of McDonough, GA, his sister, Lynn Townsend and her husband Jr of East Dublin, GA; several nephews and nieces; his brother-in-law, Rick Robinson and his wife Anne of Pass Christian; his sister-in-law, Renae Pierce and her husband Eddie of Zebulon, GA.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 11, 2007 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the new chapel of the Riemann family's GULF COAST FUNERAL HOME, Three Rivers Road in Gulfport.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Dublin, Georgia. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Georgia Special Olympics, 4000 Dekalb Technology Parkway, Suite 400, Bldg. 400, Atlanta, GA 30340.
