Dominic Nicholas Ferro, Jr., age 84, of Saucier, surrounded by his loving family, went peacefully at home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, September 20, 2022.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley M. Ferro; his parents, Dominic N. Ferro, Sr. and Mary Alice Hilty Ferro; and his brother, Jackie Ferro.
Survivors include his daughters, Tammy Marie Harper and Kristee Lynn Allen; his sister, Patricia Ann Pollock (Ronald); his 7 grandchildren; his 12 great-grandchildren; and his close friends who were considered sons, Patrick Dean Lewis and Sal DaSilva.
Mr. Ferro was a native of Niles, Ohio, and a long-time resident of Long Beach and Saucier. He graduated from Niles McKinley High School in Ohio in 1956 and from Jeff Davis Junior College. He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force, retiring after 20 years as a Master Sergeant. He retired from Sandhill Hospital as the Maintenance Director, then he worked at the Copa Casino and Island View Casino as a Security Officer.
He enjoyed going fishing, spending time with his family, eating oysters of the half shell, taking rides to look for deer and nature watching. He loved the Lord and was a member of Extended Hands Assembly of God.
Friends are invited to join the family for visitation and services on Saturday, September 24th at Extended Hands Assembly of God, 16427 Shaw Road, Gulfport. Visitation will be held from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m., with the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Mr. Ferro will be laid to rest at Allen Cemetery in Long Beach.
