Dolores Mary Parratore, a longtime resident of Gulfport, passed away on April 21, 2024, at the age of 96 years old.
Dolores was born on February 25, 1928 in Chicago, IL and spent many cherished years in Lombard, Illinois, before embracing the coastal life upon retirement. As a devout member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, she dedicated her time to St. Joseph's Table and the Bereavement Committee, enriching her community with her commitment.
Retirement brought new joys along the Gulf Coast, where she delighted in the simple pleasures of fishing and strolling along the beach. A creative soul, Dolores found solace in painting and poetry, her artworks and verses reflecting the serenity of her surroundings. Holidays were a favorite time for Dolores, and she delighted in sharing her talents, baking and cooking for her loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, Anthony Parratore; son, Michael Parratore; parents, John William O'Connor and Lucile Agnes Bartz O’Connor; and siblings, Raymond James O'Conner, Emmet O’Connor, Jack O’Connor and Mercedes O’Connor Myers.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, grandchildren, Lisa Parratore McBride, Adrianna Smith (James), Christopher Parratore, Bobby Maida (Gina); and great-grandchildren, David, Joey, Chelsea, Cameron, Kayden, Dominic, Giavonna and Julianna.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at 11:00 AM, following the one-hour visitation beginning at 10:00 AM, at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church located at 2090 Pass Road, Biloxi, MS. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Gulfport.
