Dola Booker Cuevas

Dola Booker Cuevas, age 83, of Long Beach passed away on Monday, November 15, 2010. She was born in Lynchburg, Virginia on October 1, 1927 to Robert and Annie Mae DeVaux.
She lived on the Gulf Coast for over 70 years. In her younger days, she taught Sunday School and volunteered with the Salvation Army. Her life was devoted to being an Avon representative for nearly 50 years; she was in Avon's President's Club and Rose Club, and she received numerous awards for being a top-seller on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, including selling over one million dollars of products. She sold Avon to three generations of customers from Gulf Coast businesses and communities. She was a loving mother and grandmother who tried to go to all her grandchildren's ballgames and plays; loved to have large family gatherings; and enjoyed visits from her grandchildren more than anything else.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Buddy and Pat DeVaux, grandson Little Bob Harris III, son-in-law Robert Pell Harris II, and great-granddaughter Chloe Hayden Vonder Bruegge.
She is survived by her daughters Ann (Johnny) Walker, Nancy (V.W.) Geil, and Linda (Chuck) Vonder Bruegge; grandchildren John Walker, Ty Snow, Teresa (Greg) Nations, Bo (Robbin) Vonder Bruegge, and Bryan (Nicole) Vonder Bruegge; great-grandchildren Kadin, Kaitlynn and Brenden Snow; Chip, Morgan and Brock Vonder Bruegge, and Jeb and Mackenzie Vonder Bruegge; five sisters: Patricia Netherland, Anaise Poole, Ruth Gardner, Shirley Taylor and Juanita DeVaux; one brother, Floyd DeVaux, and many other family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 18, 2010, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Road, Long Beach, from 1:30 pm until the time of service in the chapel at 3:45 pm. Burial will follow at Evergreen Gardens.
