Diane Hoda Burns Barker

Diane Hoda Burns Barker, age 71, of Woolmarket, passed away Saturday, March 13, 2021 at her residence.
Mrs. Barker was a native of Gulfport and a resident of Woolmarket. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She is of a strong Christian faith with a deep love for God, spending her life in serving Him and all those she loved. She withheld love from no one, pouring it out to all.
The family would like to send deepest thanks to Amedysis home health and SAAD Hospice for their loving care. They also value the support and pouring out of love of family and friends.
Mrs. Barker was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Barker; her parents, Elwin and Ava Hoda; and her brother, Wardale Hode.
She is survived by her children, Rachel Burns, Angela VanHouten (Ron), Chris Burns (Michelle) and Chad Burns; her nephew, Sean Hoda; her siblings, Faye Folds (Don), Helen Hode, Linda Hoda, E. J. Hoda, Jr. (Tina), Mike Hoda (Charlotte) and Bryan Hoda (Nancy); her grandchildren, Kaitlyn Tyler (Jake), Kemily Plunkett (Cole), Remington VanHouten and Jensen & Beckett Burns; her great-grandchildren, Millie Anne Tyler & Stetson Tyler; and her many loving nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to join the family for visitation and services on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport. Visitation will be held from 9:00 until 11:00 a.m. with the funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. The committal service will be held at Allen Cemetery in Long Beach.
