Diane Pitts

Diane Martin Pitts, age 71, of Long Beach, passed away on October 6, 2021.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Pitts; her parents, Jefferson Walter Martin and Margie McKay Martin; and a sister, Catherine Pitts.

She is survived by her children, Kellie Richardson (Steve) and Ashley Garriga; a brother, Michael Martin (Tami); 1 granddaughter, Lauren Richardson; her nieces and nephews, Jeffery Pitts (Fran), Christopher Pitts, Matthew Martin (Melissa), and Mandie Martin (Keith); and other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Pitts was a lifelong resident of the coast and she was retired from the South MS Regional Center as an assistant teacher working with special needs children with early intervention/project prints where she loved working with her special babies..  She was a member of First Baptist Church of Long Beach.  She loved crafting, scrapbooking, card making, watching westerns, and she loved her special companion “Bono”, her maltese.

Visitation will be on Sunday, October 10, 2021, from 11 am – 1 pm at the Riemann Family Funeral Home, 19130 Commission Road, Long Beach.  A memorial service will be at 1 pm in the funeral home chapel.  Interment will be in Evergreen Gardens Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to First Baptist Church of Long Beach, 300 N Cleveland Ave., Long Beach, MS 39560.
