Diane Moran

Diane L. Moran, age 71, of Kiln, MS, passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2019.

Diane was born and raised in New Orleans by her adopted father, Victor Mares. She will be remembered for her love of family and her children. She enjoyed planting, babysitting children (not just her own), crafting, trail riding, and the outdoors, including shrimping, oystering, and bonfires. Ms. Moran was instrumental in starting the Kiln Christmas Parade alongside her husband, Big Eddie. She was always taking care of people.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Anthony Moran Sr.; her father, Victor Mares; and her brother, Kenneth Nolting.

She is survived by her children, Ninon (Albert Necaise) Peterson, Elizabeth Thompson, Victor (Devin) Antunica, Eddie Moran Jr., and Lindsay Moran; her grandchildren, Christopher Peterson II, Brittany Edmonson , Mark Raphael, Brailey Raphael, Jenna Antunica, Dylan Antunica, Lashae Marquar, Taylor Marquar, Lashonda Marquar; 7 great grandchildren; her siblings, Shirlee Jeanfreau, Joyce Bayhi, Linda Smith, Joe Nolting, Earl Mares; numerous nieces and nephews including Windi Moran Miller and Eugene Moran whom she cared for many years as her own.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2019, at 11:00am, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 9113 Kiln Delisle Rd, Pass Christian. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00am. Interment will follow at Bayou Coco Cemetery.
