Destin Kolbie Spence, age 23, passed away on November 18, 2020, in Pass Christian.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Bill Spence; an uncle, Jim Spence; a cousin, Eric Spence; and his great-grandmother, Phyllis Moseley.
He is survived by his parents, Ryan and Gretchen Spence; 2 siblings, Giana Spence, and Braxton Spence; his maternal grandparents, Linda and Fred Langenbach; his paternal grandmother, Catherine Spence; and many other aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
Kolbie attended St. Johns Catholic Elementary School and was a graduate of St. Patrick Catholic High School. He was currently employed with Champagne Construction. He enjoyed exercising, art, and playing sports. Kolbie will be remembered as a caring son and loving big brother. He always greeted everyone with a smile and was wiling to help anyone in need.
Destin Kolbie Spence was working hard and learning new skills that he enjoyed. Of course, he had already mastered love, art, friendship, faith, kindness, and of course athletics. He was the teacher when it came to looking out for others even if it meant he would miss out. He was an awesome big brother and a great friend to all. Most of all, he was a great son.
A visitation will be on Monday, November 23, 2020, from 9:30 am – 11 am at St. James Catholic Church, 366 Cowan Road, Gulfport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am in the church.
