Derek Lee Wynn, a dedicated professional who spent 40 years at W & W of Alexandria, Inc. in various leadership roles including Vice President and President, passed away on April 30, 2024, in Pass Christian. He was born on May 27, 1960, in Palo Alto, CA.
Throughout his life, Derek achieved many milestones, but among his proudest accomplishments were completing the Ironman 140.6 mile triathlon twice, once in Arizona and once in Wisconsin. His determination and perseverance in such challenging events showcased his unwavering spirit.
Derek is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Linda B. Wynn; his son, Derek L. Wynn, II; his siblings Leigh Ann Kirsch (Kendall) and Carl E. Wynn, III; as well as two nephews, Lawson and Cameron; and his cherished grandson Moses James Wynn.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl E. Wynn, Jr., and Dorothy S. Wynn.
Derek's legacy extends far beyond his professional achievements; he will be remembered for his kindness, dedication to his family, and zest for life. His presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
