Denver Pittman, Sr.

Denver Leroy "Red" Pittman, Sr., age 87, passed away on August 29, 2018.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar Clement Pittman and Eloise E. Creel; his brothers and sisters; a grandson, Michael Montana Wilson; and his granddaughter, Mischa Lindsay Hill.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Torries Pittman; seven children, Denver L. Pittman, Jr. "Denny" (Winnie "Sis") of Lucedale, Mary E. Lindsay (Mark) of Saucier, John C. Pittman "Johnny" (Sharon) of Lucedale, Sandra K. Wilson (Mike) of Gulfport, Sabrina Ladner of Saucier, David Hammett (Cathy), and Kathleen Armstrong (Richard); grandchildren, Denver Leroy Pittman, III "Trea" (Brooke), Matthew Lindsay (Michelle), Lenzy Chaffin (Andy), Cody Pittman, Dusty Pittman (Darby), Melissa Clifford (Marvin), D.J. Ladner, Shelby Ladner, Scott Hammett (Whindy), Joy Hammett, Mandy Blakely, Tyson Blakely, and Joey Armstrong; great-grandchildren, Sydney Pittman, Travis Lindsay, Kaitlyn Lindsay, Meghan Lindsay, Kaylee Chaffin, Kenzy Chaffin, Liam Pittman,  Ashleigh Cook, Madison Dearman, Carley Blakely, and Cameron Blakely; great-great grandchild, Austyn Cook, and another great-great grandchild on the way; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was a very sought after sheet-metal worker on the Gulf Coast. If it could be rigged, taped, or stapled together, he could do it. He liked his birds and squirrels and was a hunter and fisherman. He was a very hard working man and was the Patriarch of the Pittman family. He would do anything to help anyone who asked.
His favorite quote, which he stated often to his family, was "Do the Math".
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 30, 2018 from 5-8 PM at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, MS. Funeral services will be on Friday, August 31, 2018 at 2 PM with visitation one-hour prior at the funeral home. Interment will be at Torries Cemetery.
