Dennis "PaPa" Laubmeier

Dennis "PaPa" Laubmeier, age 67, of Pass Christian, passed away on May 27, 2022.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cletus Laubmeier and Mary Moulder Laubmeier.

Dennis is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Brenda Hoda Laubmeier; a daughter, Vicki Laubmeier; a step-daughter, Missy Ladner (Steven Herring); his siblings, Ronald (Gwendolyn) Laubmeier, Diane (Dale) Unger, Susan (Bobby) Douglas, and Glenn Laubmeier; his grandchildren, Courtney Beech (Jordan Fisher), Caitlin (Noah) Hunter, and Trevan Laubmeier; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

He was a native of Long Beach, a graduate of Long Beach High School, and was a long time resident of Pass Christian.  He started his career in auto body shops and then became the repair owner of Big G’s Auto Body shop, and later retired from State Farm Insurance after 20 years of service as an adjuster.  He was the current owner of Gator Trucking Company.

He served on the State Farm Disaster Team and also won numerous fishing awards.  Dennis was a mentor to many, Papa/dad of the year from 1977 – 2022, enjoyed all fishing related activities, hunting, cooking, and keeping family close by organizing and hosting many family gatherings.  He also enjoyed restoring classic cars, was a member of CCA, Boy Scouts, and he spent many years coaching softball.

The family would like to extend special thanks to the entire staff at Singing River Hospital in Ocean Springs for their outstanding care and compassion.

Visitation will be on Friday, June 3, 2022, from 3 - 5 pm at Holy Family Catholic Church, Pass Christian.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 5 pm in the church.
