Dennis Edward McConnell, age 57, of Gulfport, passed away on Saturday, June 16, 2012, in Gulfport.
Dennis was a lifelong resident of the coast and was employed with Civil Service at Keesler AFB. He was an avid sportsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Susie Herrington.
Survivors include his loving parents, Russell and Shirley McConnell, 2 brothers, William Joseph (Bonnie) McConnell, and Richard Russell (Debbie) McConnell, nieces and nephews: Josh McConnell, Kristy Logan, Tiffany McConnell, and Rebecca Ashford, several great nieces and nephews, and special thanks to Sue Hargrove, Gary Hargrove, Tim Hargrove, Billy Woodcock, Richard Woodcock, Odyssey Hospice, Driftwood Nursing Home staff, Chaplain Ken Hembree, and Dr. Thomas Blanks.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 11am to 1pm at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport. The funeral service will begin at 1 pm in the funeral home chapel.
Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
