Dennis Boyd

October 6, 1948 — February 24, 2009

Dennis Alvin Boyd, 60, of Perkinston, MS, died Tuesday, February 24, 2009. He was taken too soon from his family, but will be remembered forever.
Dennis was born October 6, 1948 and raised in Gulfport, MS until he retired to his home in Perkinston, MS. He was a Veteran of the Vietnam War and """"DAB"""" worked for Reichold/Arizona Chemical for over 25 years. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church, Gulfport.
Dennis is survived by his two children, Jason Dennis Boyd, of Long Beach, and Julie Christine Boyd-Nelson, of Diamondhead. Jason along with his wife, Holly Boyd, gave Dennis two grandchildren, Courtney and Christopher Boyd. Julie, along with her husband Glen Nelson, Jr., had also blessed Dennis with another grandson, Zachary Davis.
Dennis lived for his grandchildren, for his children, all of his family, and friends.
He is also survived by his parents, Alvin and Mildred Boyd, as well as two sisters and one brother, Joyce Jones, Marilyn Dryman, and Ted Boyd. He was also fortunate enough to have four nephews, a sister-in-law, many cousins and other relatives who loved him dearly. This doesn't include the many friends that he had and will miss him.
Dennis was a fisherman at heart. He was a wonderful and loving father, papaw, son, and brother. To remember Dennis is to remember his kind heart, wonderful smile, patience, and devotion to the one's that he loved.
