Denise A. Melton

Denise A. Melton 54, of Gulfport, died Saturday, November 13, 2010 in Gulfport.
She lived on the coast most of her life and was a volunteer fireman with Orange Grove Fire Department where she was the first female sergeant in the State of MS. She was a loving and devoted mother and enjoyed gardening and cooking.
She was preceded in death by her father, George Doucet. Survivors include her children, Jenny Green, Eric Stafford, and Angela Culveyhouse, her mother, Peggy Doucet, 2 brothers, Galen Doucet and Byron Doucet, 1 sister, Michelle Godwin, her fiance, Steve Dodge, her faithful companion, ""Maggie"" and 8 grandchildren.
The funeral service will be 11 am Wednesday at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, Three Rivers Road, Gulfport with visitation from 10 - 11 am with burial to follow.
