Dema Magers

Dema Magers, age 88, died August 17, 2011.
Dema and her devoted husband, Milton were married for 69 years. They resided in Des Moines, IA for 25 years. Dema was the office manager for a Des Moines home builder before retiring and moving to Bella Vista, Arkansas. They were active members of the Bella Vista Country Club and were very involved in the Golf Associations. While in Bella Vista, Dema was a founding member of the Classy Lasses golf group where she made many friends. Dema and her husband wintered on the Florida Gulf Coast until moving to St. Andrews, MS in 2005. They were members of the Port Saint Joe Country Club in Florida. Dema died peacefully, surrounded by her children, in Overland Park, KS where she had been living with her daughter for the past 15 months.
She was preceded in death by parents, Ike and Della Daughtery of Marquand, MO; brother, Charles Daugherty of Oregon; and her husband, Milton Magers of Ocean Spring, MS.
She is survived by her children, Donald M. Magers & wife Pat of Fredericktown, MO, and Joy Waldstein of Lenexa, KS; Grandson, Jason C. Janssen & wife Sarah of Overland Park, KS; Great- Grandsons of Overland Park, KS; and 3 step-great grandchildren of Overland Park, KS. In and around Fredericktown, MO, Dema had 5 step-grandchildren, 10 step great-grandchildren, and 4 step great-great grandchildren, several cousins of Arkansas and several nieces & nephews of Memphis, Tenn.
RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, Biloxi, assisted the family with cremation arrangements.
