Delores Louise Lovett Shankle, age 71 and a resident of Gulfport, died on Wednesday, April 30, 2014, in Gulfport.
She was the original owner of the former Teddy Bear Carpet Cleaning in Gulfport and was a member of Pass Road Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Katherine Morgan; her sister, Dorothy Smith and a brother.
Mrs. Shankle is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Jerry Shankle, Sr.; her sons, Jerry Shankle Jr. of New Orleans, LA, Joseph Shankle, Sr. of Shreveport, LA, and Jason Shankle of Gulfport; her sister, Patricia (Ralph) Simmons of Gulfport; her grandchildren, Brittany Shankle, Blake Shankle, Tressa Gros, Shawn Madre, Dewayne Brouillette, Joseph Shankle, Jr., and Celena Shankle and her great grandchildren, Laresah Gros and Gabriel Brouillette.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2014, at 11am at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road in Gulfport, where friends may visit one hour prior to the service.
Burial will be held on Monday, May 5, 2014, at 9am at Biloxi National Cemetery.
