Delores Duhon Boudreaux was born in Abbeville, Louisiana and was always proud of her Cajun heritage and Catholic faith. She spoke French and she never quite lost her accent despite living in Gulfport for 63 years.
She retired from retail employment at the age of 73 due to Hurricane Katrina and she moved back into her home in 2006 after it was renovated. She served as Administrative Assistant to Commissioner Charles Walker in the 1960's and was secretary of the Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo in the 1970's.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton Boudreaux, Sr.; and her parents, Claudie and Edia Duhon.
She is survived by her sons Clifton "Bud" (Angele) and Michael "Mike" (Mary) Boudreaux; her granddaughter, Michelle Boudreaux Wilson (Mike); as well as her sisters, Loisy Hebert and Doris Toups; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 until 7:30 p.m. on Friday, June 9, 2017
at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport followed by the recitation of the Rosary at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at St. James Catholic Church, Gulfport with a visitation for family and friends at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Biloxi City Cemetery.
