Delma Roberts

Delma Margaret Roberts, age 75, passed away September 8, 2021.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Lucy Chesney.

Delma is survived by her children, Mitchell Roberts and Norman Roberts.

She was a native of Meridian, MS and had resided over the years in Gulfport, MS, Austin, TX, and Las Vegas, NV. Delma had a bachelor’s degree from Southern Miss College and a master’s degree in education from William Carey College. She retired after 40 years from being an elementary school teacher at Anniston Ave. Elementary in Gulfport, MS. Delma was an artist and specialized in watercolors and pastels. She had a love of music, food, and the arts. She was a leader of the Teacher’s Union and most importantly, she was the best mother.
