Delia Marie Garcia Schouder

Delia “Dee” Marie Garcia Schouder, age 84, of Gulfport, Mississippi, passed away on October 22, 2023.

Dee was a devoted Christian who dedicated many years to mission work. She loved to sing and pray for others. Dee had a great sense of humor and enjoyed making her family laugh. Above all, she loved her family fiercely and cherished every moment spent with them.

She was preceded in death by her father, Delio Garcia; mother, Delores Cassidy Garcia; brother, Delio “Ray” Garcia; sister, Orchid Garcia Fairhurst; and her husband, Vincen DeCarlo.

Dee is survived by her loving children, Yvonne Lee, Anna Knapp, Teddy DeCarlo, Michael Schouder, and Larry Schouder. She also leaves behind numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren who adored her.

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the staff of Lakeview Nursing Center in Gulfport, MS, for their selfless love and care during Dee’s final days.

A Celebration of Life for will be held Saturday, October 28, 2023, beginning at 10 am at Riemann Family Funeral Home, located on 11280 Three Rivers Road in Gulfport, MS.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the charity of your choice.
