Debra Foles Cherota, 58, of Biloxi, Mississippi passed away peacefully in her home in Gulfport on Monday July 17, 2017. Debra was born in Tuscaloosa, AL.
She was preceded in death by her father, Clifford Sherman Foles.
She is survived by her mother, Sally Jo Blankenbaker; her sisters, Connie Jo Little (Dexter) and Grace Elgin Billiot; her brother, John Sherman Foles (Tommie Gail); her son, Jason Box; her daughters, Sara Tootle (Jeremy), Robin Belmonte, and Roberta Cherota; her seven grandchildren, Mary Madison, Bailey, Ariel, Skyler, Amelia, Emery, and Bryson; and numerous nieces and nephews who will miss her greatly.
She was a lifelong resident of the Mississippi Gulf Coast and was a fine-dining server at Magnolia House inside Harrah's Gulf Coast in Biloxi, where she was loved by many. Debra loved being a mother, but when she became Meme she was given a whole new meaning for life. When she wasn't spending time with her kids and grandkids, you could definitely find her out "getting happies for my precious angels". She was an amazing person who never forgot anyone's birthday. She was an Alabama fan (Roll Tide!), with a lifelong love of horses and the King of Rock and Roll himself, Elvis Presley. She will be dearly missed by her family, friends, coworkers, and everyone who knew her.
