Deborah Marie Sinopoli Regan

d. March 30, 2015

Debbie Marie Sinopoli Regan, a native of Gulfport and a resident of Hattiesburg, formerly of Gulfport, passed away on Monday, March 30, 2015.
Debbie was preceded in death by her grandparents, Charles Joseph Sr. and Hazel Himbert Sinopoli, Ferdinand Anthony and Eldora Gran Pecoul, her precious grandson, Timothy Jeremiah ""Jeremy"" Kirby.
Debbie is survived by a loving spouse, George ""Bernie"" Regan; her parents, Raymond and Martha Sinopoli; her daughters and families, Rev. Martha June and Rev. Eddie Kirby and their children, Eddie, Mosie, Chloe, and Duke Kirby; Cherry Elizabeth and Brian Graves and their children, Jackson, Eli and Bella Graves; Rayanne Marie Wheat and DeDe's darling, Breleigh Marie Wheat, who Debbie loved deeply and was the primary care giver from birth; her sweet sisters, Patricia ""Patty"" Sinopoli, Catherine ""Kitty"" and Norman McGuire, Angela ""Angie"" and William ""Bill"" Langhart; and countless family, friends and Real Estate colleagues.
Debbie has lived and worked in Hattiesburg for the past 30 years, transitioning from banking and finance to real estate in 1988. Debbie became passionate about finding each of her clients the perfect ""place to call home."" Debbie was the owner and broker of the Debbie Sinopoli and Associates Real Estate, LLC. Debbie has been a multi-million dollar producer for the past 26 years. Anyone that knew Debbie knew that ""That's How Real Estate is Sold!"" Her commitment to her profession was demonstrated in the many real estate designations she held including CRS, ABR, and GRI. Highly respected throughout her community for her work ethic as a real estate professional, she served on every committee of her local associate and chaired most of them. She served as President of the Hattiesburg Area Association of the Realtors and was elected Realtor of the Year in 2009 while also serving on the Professional Standards Committee. Debbie did volunteer work for non-profit organizations, including American Cancer Society, The United Way and The American Heart Association. She was very involved with the Friends of South MS State Hospital and served on their Board of Directors from 2010-2011. Additionally, she currently served on the Board of Directors of the Mississippi Association of Realtors.
The entire newspaper could not house all the ways Debbie stretched herself to help people that were blessed to have crossed paths with this earth angel. Debbie was an adopter of Sumrall High School, Volunteer with Pink Ribbon Ball, sponsor of Debbie's Darlins' Softball/tee-ball teams, and member of the Marion County and Hattiesburg Area Development Partnership. When she wasn't involved in numerous churches that her daughter, Rev. Martha Jane Kirby, was serving, you could find her at St. Fabian Catholic Church.
Debbie was passionate about three things: her family and friends, helping others, and finding clients a place to call home. Debbie adored her family and enjoyed hosting get togethers and creating celebrations out of any and everything. Her family was her pride and deep joy and she poured into the sacrificial love like no other. Anyone that knew Debbie well felt as if she was their biggest cheerleader and greatest fan. The legacy that she leaves is one of sacrifice and service. It is with great sadness, but ultimate trust in Christ that we celebrate her homecoming and feel sure it was a party fit for a Queen.
