Deborah Lynn Jordan

November 14, 1953 — August 16, 2024

Vancleave, MS

Deborah Lynn Jordan, a beloved matriarch and long-time resident of Biloxi, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on August 16, 2024, in Gulfport, Mississippi. Born on November 14, 1953, in Tylertown, Mississippi, Deborah was the cherished daughter of Leroy and Lois Dunaway, who have preceded her in death. She embodied the spirit of warmth, love, and resilience throughout her life, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege to know her.

A graduate of Biloxi High School, Deborah embraced the art of hospitality with an open heart. Her years as a waitress allowed her to forge connections with countless patrons, adding a sprinkle of joy to their daily lives through her friendly demeanor and infectious smile. Beyond her commit to her career, she found immense fulfillment in nurturing her creative side, indulging her passion for arts and crafts that consistently reflected her vibrant personality.

However, it was in the joyful embrace of her family where Deborah’s heart truly flourished. Little can compare to the joy she derived from spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren—moments that were treasured and eternally etched in her memory. She is survived by her beloved daughters, Kelly Goodyear and Jamie Jordan, along with four grandchildren: Hunter Geddings, Taylor Smelser, Kelsey Goodyear, and Mason Tanner. Furthermore, she delighted in her role as a great-grandmother to Fisher Foto and Gunner Foto, whose laughter and wonderments she adored. She is also survived by her brother, Kenny Dunaway, who remains a cherished link to their shared past.

Deborah’s legacy of love will continue to resonate within her family and friends, who are left to carry forward her spirit of kindness and creativity.

In a world that can often feel overwhelming, Deborah Lynn Jordan exemplified an unwavering devotion to those she loved, and in return, she was profoundly loved. May her memory serve as a comforting beacon of hope and strength to all whose lives she touched.
