Debbie M. Blackwell

Debbie Blackwell, age 90 of Gulfport, passed away Wednesday, February 5, 2025.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Joe Blackwell; and her son, Keith Blackwell; father, James Childress, mother, Velda Geneva (Nolan) Childress, brothers, Charles Childress and James Childress; and sister, Marion Childress and Elsie Childress.

Debbie is survived by her children and their spouses, Victor & Victoria Blackwell and Cheryl & Walt Moskal; siblings, Walter Childress and Patty Childress; grandchildren, Holly Lawler (Hunter), Kyle Moskal, Brandon Blackwell (Callie), Brian Blackwell, and Michael Schmotzer (Kimberly); and great grandchildren, Charlotte and Joseph Lawler, and Andrew, William, and Liam Blackwell.

Debbie will be deeply missed by her loved ones. She was an amazing and loving wife, mom, and grandma.

A visitation will be held at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church on Thursday, February 13, 2025 from 11:00 until 11:30 AM, a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 AM. Interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery at 2:30 PM.
