From her big brother, "It is with heavy heart that I share with the community that today we lost the the brightest light, most affectionate laugh and hugest heart in our family with the passing of my baby sister, Dawna Bissett. The grief is indescribable and we ask for your prayers as we navigate the difficult days ahead."

From her baby brother, "Yesterday was one of the hardest days in my life. This is my big sister and she was such an amazing and loving person. She always cared more about others than herself and would even worry herself sick. Some know that she had a bad accident over a year ago and was left paralyzed from the waist down. She was so strong, facing her new life and the challenges it brought. I’m heart broken because I had to say goodbye to her for the last time. I hope you could take the time to pray for our family because we have lost a special family member. And this is a part of my heart I will never get back while I’m still on this earth. Dawna Michelle was preceded in death by her father, Michael Loughridge; her stepfather, Dennis Westbrook; and grandparents, Don and Joyce Graham and Walt and Patsy Loughridge.

Dawna Michelle, a loving mother, has left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who loved her. She is survived by her treasured sons, Cameron and Aiden; their father, Brent; her mother, Dawna Westbrook; brothers, Duncan Loughridge, Devon Westbrook (Amanda), and Dennis Westbrook (Karen); aunts, Denise, Derry, and Peggy; uncle Allen; her niece, Linden; nephew, Charlie; and numerous cherished cousins.
