David Rivers, Sr.

David Allen Rivers, Sr., age 68, passed away December 6, 2021.

He was preceded in death by his father, Omer Rivers Sr.

David is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Denise Rivers; his mother, Betty Martello; his step-mother, Mary Rivers; his children, David Rivers II (Tequila), Bronson Ryan, Melissa Lythgoe, and Susanne Robinson; 7 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.

David is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana and a was a resident of Saucier, Mississippi. He served in the United States Navy and retired as an airline captain. David was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Gulfport, Mississippi. He enjoyed cooking for his family and loved watching and feeding squirrels and birds on his land.

Friends are invited to join the Rivers family for visitation and services on Friday, December 10, 2021, at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport.  Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m.     Mr. Rivers will be laid to rest at Finley Cemetery in Harrison County.
