David Owen, Sr.

David A. Owen, Sr., age 72, of Gulfport, passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home on April 30, 2022.

David was born on July 14, 1949, in New Orleans, LA.  He served in the U.S. Marines and graduated from Ole Miss where he was an avid fan.  He worked as a tax attorney/CPA for 46 years.

David was preceded in death by his father, Earl Owen; and his mother, Gertrude F. Owen.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda C. Owen; his children, Rene’ O. Paxton, David A. Owen, Jr., and Haily O. Hammond (Jamie); his stepson, Jeremy C. Lowther; his 8 grandchildren; and his 3 great grandchildren.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
