David Henry Hunt

David Henry Hunt, age 74 of Pass Christian, passed away on Thursday, September 19, 2024.

He was born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Edward (USN Ret.) and Aurora Jordon Hunt. He was proud to have served in the U.S. Marine Corp, Air National Guard, and retired in 1994 from the U.S. Air Force as a Master Sgt.

David was preceded in death by his parents; and his father and mother-in law, Glen and Hazel Flick.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 51 years, Glenda Hunt; his son, David W. Hunt (Valerie) and their fur baby, Baylie; his brothers, John Hunt (Donna) and Richard Hunt; his sisters-in-law, Helen Bellman and Patricia McGlinchey (William); and multiple nieces and nephews.

David had a Bachelor of Science degree and after he retired from the Air Force, began his career at the U.S. Post Office in 1995 and retired in 2008. 

He enjoyed building things and gardening. He especially loved spending time with his rescue cat, Lucy, who never left his side during his long illness. She repaid him by giving him five kittens, who brought him great joy.

The family would like to thank Devin Peterson for his time and effort to help navigate the VA for David. Also, a special thanks to Charles and Monica Eifert for their assistance.

A graveside service will be held at 2:30 PM, Monday, September 30, 2024, at Biloxi National Cemetery.
