David Roy Cuevas, also known as Big Boy, age 57 and a lifelong resident of Lizana, died on Saturday, June 2, 2007, in Gulfport.
Mr. Cuevas was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Lizana where he was Baptized as a child, was a former employee of Teledyne Irby Steel for over 30 years and worked at Northrup Grumman for a short period. He loved his family, especially his nieces and nephews, and will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Mr. Cuevas is preceded in death by his parents, Ulvin and Marie Northrup Cuevas, a sister, Eloise Deschamp and brothers, Clyde and Edward Earl Cuevas.
He is survived by his sisters; Audrey Faye Carter of Lizana, Brenda Miller of Florida and her husband Jerry, and Doris Biegel of Long Beach and her husband Mike; brothers, Wayne Cuevas of Lizana and his wife Charlotte, Ulvin Cuevas, Jr. of Lizana, Bobby Cuevas of Pass Christian and his wife Judy; brother-in-law, Ben Bernie Deschamp; 17 nieces and nephews, 47 great nieces and nephews, and 3 great great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 5, 2007, at the RIEMANN FAMILY's Riemann Funeral Home, 11213 Highway 49 North, Gulfport, where friends may visit from
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, June 6, 2007, at 11 am in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Wolf River Cemetery in Harrison County.
Pallbearers will be Keith Necaise, Kendall Deschamp, Craig Deschamp, Darryl Deschamp, Cedric Ladner, and Bernie Ray Deschamp.
