Dave Bowen

Dave Bowen, 75 of Biloxi formerly of Georgia and Michigan passed away on April 29, 2024 at Memorial Hospital in Gulfport.  He was born on November 20, 1948 in Trenton, Michigan to the late Robert “Bob” & Edith Bowen.  Dave is preceded in death by his parents.

Dave enjoyed having a good time and always enjoyed Cruising the Coast and his trips to the casino.  He loved making models and balsa wood boats.  Dave lived a very simple and meticulous life.

Dave grew up in Grosse Ile, Michigan where he graduated from Grosse Ile High School, and wrote a book about his High School Days.  After high school he became an Electrician.  Dave worked as an electrician his whole career and was very successful having big crews on job sites.  After his career, Dave moved to Georgia and resided there for about 25 years.  His love for gambling and the beach lead him to the Gulf Coast, where he resided for the last 10 years.   Dave was a very simple but humble man, and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Dave is survived by his sons, Steve (Jeanne), Brian, and Jason; siblings, Roberta “Bobbie” Ohliger, Allan Bowen, Jeffery Bowen, Peter Bowen, and Kathy Manners; grandchildren, Greg Bowen, and Savannah Bowen; and his roommate, caretaker and best friend, Ron Cales.  Dave also leaves behind to cherish his memory a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family.

Dave will be laid to rest at the St. James Episcopal Church Memorial Gardens in Grosse Ile, Michigan at a later date.
