Darryl F. Blappert

Darryl F. Blappert, Sr., passed away on December 3, 2011, at home with his family by his side.
He was a beloved and devoted husband and father, survived by his wife Judith Lauderdale Blappert, son Darryl Blappert, Jr., daughter, Catherine Martinez, their respective spouses, Roxanne Blappert and Blake Martinez, and grandson, Gabriel Blappert. He is also survived by his father-in-law Robert M. Lauderdale, Sr., brother-in-law Robert M. Lauderdale, Jr., (Jolinda), brothers Farrell G. Blappert (Diane) and Harold Blappert (Donna).
He was preceded in death by his father Harold J. Blappert, Sr., his mother Gloria Vignes Blappert, and his mother-in-law Rachel Virginia Lauderdale.
Mr. Darryl retired from the New Orleans Police Department in 1999 and was the Director of Security at St. Mary's Dominican High School at the time of his death. He will be long loved and sorely missed by family and friends and Maxwell T. Cat.
Visitation will be held from 10-11 AM, with the Service starting at 11 AM, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 9113 Kiln DeLisle Road, Pass Christian, MS, on Monday, December 5, 2011. Graveside services will be for family only at Gulf Coast Cemetery and Mausoleum in Bay St. Louis, MS.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to the Sunnybrook Children's Home 222 Sunnybrook Road Ridgeland, MS 39157, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, or a charity of one's choice.
