Darrell Whitfield Geiger, age 88, of Lyman, passed away on April 15, 2019.
Mr. Geiger was a lifelong resident of Lyman. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served in the Korean War. He worked at the pharmaceutical plant in Gulfport as a line mechanic. He loved working outdoors in the garden and shrimping on his boat.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Robert and Myrtis Pippen Geiger; siblings, Verne Brady, William Geiger, Jr., Nancy Ranger, Pauline Wilson, and Richard Geiger.
He is survived by his wife, Lovell Shaw Geiger; children, Roland Clinton Bond (Phyllis) and Donna Lynn Cooley (Adam); grandchildren, Dana Wayne Bond, Shauntel Bond Humphries, Dusty Cooley, Ashten Cooley, Tristan Cooley (Hannah), Shelton Cooley; great grandchildren, Dacia Bond, Lauren Cruthirds, Morgan Rose Dedeaux, Jayden Dedeaux, Gracie Dedeaux, and Laken Cooley; great great grandchildren, Kasen and Maylee; and his brother, Wayne Geiger (Carolyn).
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, April 23, 2019, at Coalville Cemetery with military honors to be rendered by the United States Navy.
